How long do you need to wait until you can get Google AdSense?

My cousin wants to get Google AdSense along with his site, but he’s going to work on his site this month and more. Tonight he’s getting a domain. Do you need to wait 6 months before you can get Google AdSense?
In certain countries you must wait 6 months. Check google adsense help for more info on getting approved.
While you are waiting you may try other alternatives like Adbrite
Its not about the countries or anything. It’s about the content of your domain. Lets say if you have a new site with 100+ pages with good unique content. then you might be accepted by adSense even earlier than 6 months. Better take at least 1-2 months and add plenty of content. Also search engine optimize your site.
when they see your site has good content and also already getting visitors they might accept the site.
