How do I get online publicity? hardly anybody sees my videos on myspace and youtube…..?

I have this website http://www.myspace.com/nathanpiano
and hardly anyone is finding it.
this pianist is a star and hardly anyone has seen him because he’s been a background performer in the past, so now he plays out in front of everybody. he’s one of the most popular or well known person in Venice, California.
Does anyone know what is done in my space, youtube, or anyplace else to get out there in the market?

Nobody I know of is looking for pianists on youtube.
The only way to publicize yourself is by coming up with good ideas on MySpace. You need to have original ideas that people like. Don’t forget that many people discriminate against others. For example, tons of people commit hate crimes against Happy Slip (the girl who created 7.7.7.).
on youtube put a sexy picture on the thumbnail. i have heard that increases traffic greatly. good luck
youre entering a choppy situation here. sites like myspace and youtube generate viewers because some guy found a funny clip of a explosion (example). so people come to that site to see it, then they tell their friends. more people come on, more people see adds, the site makes more money. they live off of funny, stupid crap like that. my advice for online glory, set your hair on fire or fart the yankie doodle. online anything is pretty low brow.
Make one in a bikini and I guarantee you’ll get some hits. You have to use the ills of society against itself.
Have him volunteer to play for a charity concert. Have him auction his CD’s for a popular cause, like funding for the Polanski Centers. Have him do interviews on the radio, along with give a free CD to one of the callers, and have others available for sale. Have him play at streetfairs and/or go on tour.
Offer bonuses, reports on how to become a professional musician that come free with buying his CD. Form an affiliate program with non-competitive businesses. Maybe with a party supply site, so he makes music CDs for parties, they recommend him for parties that want a live player and feature his music on their website; he gives them a little piece of the action. Either way, he’s out there.

Well first of all you need to update the page, then you need to whore the page out – people will add it and then you will be seen. You can use programs to link up with other people on myspace, though they may not be adding you for the content of the page.
